Capitol Impact is proud to announce our new partnership with Redwood Region RISE (RRRISE) as the Sector Investment Team for Capacity Support and Workforce Development! RRRISE is a coalition of over 150 member organizations across Tribal Lands, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino Counties dedicated to inclusive, sustainable economic development while advancing environmental stewardship through the California Jobs First initiative.
Together with RRRISE partners, we will help activate a just economic transition across the Redwood Region by advancing workforce strategies and the creation of quality jobs in four sectors:
- Arts, Culture, and Tourism
- Health and Caregiving
- Renewable and Resilient Energy
- Working Lands and Blue Economy
Our role will focus on building organizational capacity, aligning sector projects with workforce strategies, and strengthening career pathways that ensure inclusive, high-quality employment opportunities—especially for historically disinvested communities. We are grateful to be in community, serving as a resource, support, and collaborator to the California Center for Rural Policy, North Edge Business Financing and Community Development, Regional Government Services, and our fellow Sector Investment Coordinators, North Coast Health Improvement and Information Network, Blue Lake Rancheria, West Business Development Center, and Calder Johnson and team.
Through this partnership, Capitol Impact and RRRISE will work hand-in-hand with community leaders, federally and non-federally recognized Tribes, workforce boards, and educational institutions to co-create solutions that reflect local priorities and lived experience. Together, we will help build the infrastructure for regenerative industries while ensuring that workforce pathways are inclusive, accessible, and sustainable. By aligning each sector’s strategies as part of their sector specific Activation Plans, our shared goal is to not only strengthen the Redwood Region’s economy but to do so in a way that centers equity, honors cultural heritage, and creates opportunity for generations to come.
At Capitol Impact, we believe transformational change happens through inclusive design, rigorous analysis, and collaborative implementation. We’re excited to bring our experience in place-based, equity-centered workforce development—including the nationally recognized Talent Pipeline Management® framework—to support RRRISE in shaping a resilient and regenerative regional economy.
